CD COMMENT:
We really enjoyed this CD. We were afraid that it might be a little too 'hard' for some people, but we still thought it had songs that most people probably have heard at one time or another.

ART WORK COMMENT:
I tried somethign a little new with the font this year. I added a raised look to the lettering instead of using an 'outline' around it. Given the darker background, I thought it looked ok. The image didn't translate to print as nice as I hoped, but it still stands out and is easy to read. Also, note that 'Christmas 2003' is not on the back artwork.

SONG COMMENT:
When we started selecting these songs I remember thinking that they weren't going to work for a Christmas CD. However, once we started arranging the track order, I was quite surprised at how well the songs worked together. I did have to modify a couple of them to help them fllow better though. I had to do a slight 'fade in' to the Tom Petty song, and I added a 'fade out' to the Joan Jett song right when she started going into a long guitar solo.

MATLERIALS COMMENT:
I used the thinner photo paper this year. The image prints well on this paper, but it sometimes 'sticks' to the case. I used the Silver TDK 700 MB CD's. This was the first year I used a Silver CD. I used the black tray liner jewel cases again.

DRAKE INTRO:
Drake said the 'Snowball' poem by Shel Silverstein.

DRAKE OUTRO:
Drake sang, 'All I really need is a song in my heart, food in my belly, love in my family'. This was a song he was learning for his Kindergarden concert. Later, at the 1:13 mark of this track, Drake says, 'Elf Elf Baby!'. This was a saying from a Christmas video game we were playing at the time called 'Elf Bowling'.
