CD COMMENT:
Our 'friends and relatives' list has grown over the years. The requests we now have for our annual CDs has become almost overwhelming. I believe we ended up making over 30 CDs this year. We had to take an assembly line approach while we were putting these together.
ART WORK COMMENT:
Of the seven CDs to date, this is my favorite artwork. After three years of the raised lettering text, I went back to an outlined text, but I also changed the font. I really liked the colors and the image transfered well to print. This was also the first time that I split up the track listings and put them in 4 separate lists so the back image can be seen better. Also, note that the text 'Christmas 2006' is not on the back artwork. This is the second tiem that I didn't put the year on the back. At one point, I actually had it on the left of the image (between the track 7 & track 8 text), but we decided that we could do without it.
The CD label did not come out as I had hoped though. The image looked great on the PC, but the label paper wasn't as vivid. Some of these were printed darker than others. The ones I lightened look better, but they do not have that 'black' look. In the future I'll have to make sure that CD image is light and colorful.
SONG COMMENT:
We originally started this year with a jazz/acoustic CD theme. But, after listening to the tracks we had available we felt it wasn't a strong enough CD. So, we decided to go in a different direction. I really didn't want to do a Trans-Siberian Orchestra CD because I like listening to the full length versions of those CDs. But, once we selected all the 'instrumental' tracks from the three Trans-Siberian CDs, and arranged them in the order that seemed to flow, the CD sounded good.
MATLERIALS COMMENT:
Everything went smooth this year. We used the 'thin' photo paper, Memorex CDs and the black tray liners. We also printed a label.

Drake sings, 'Up On The House Top'.
DRAKE OUTRO:
Drake sings, 'Wonderful Chrsitmas Time'. Later in the track, at the 0:39 mark, Drake says, 'Merry Christmas, Mom'. Angie replies, 'Merry Christmas, Drakie'. J says, 'Duh' and Drake laughs.
